SEWA PAKHWADA CELEBRATED FROM 17TH SEPT. 2023 TO 2ND OCT 2023

Blood donation drives organised by IRCS Shriman Rambhai Shah Blood Centre, Barshi in various places during the Sewa Pakhwada held from the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi-ji on 17th September 2023 to Mahatma Gandhiji’s birthday on 2nd October 2023 also covered the national voluntary blood donation day organised on 1st October 2023 every year. Total 837 units collected

Indian Red Cross Society Merit Certificate awarded to Prof. Dr. Dilip Dasharath Karad

Prof. Dr. Dilip Dasharath Karad – Hon. Jt. Secretary of Barshi Sub-District Branch, received a Indian Red Cross Society Merit Certificate for the year 2021-22 from Hon’ble Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya ji– Chairman, IRCS (Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India) at the Annual General Meeting of Indian Red Cross Society at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, New Delhi on 17th July 2023.

A new Mobile Health Unit inaugurated on 5th July 2023

IFRC/IRCS, NHQ, New Delhi supported and facilitated by IRCS Maharashtra State Branch a Mobile Health Unit with all accessories fitted was given to Barshi Sub-District Branch. Inauguration on 5th July 2023 at Shriman Rambhai Shah Blood Centre was at the hands of the Barshi Red Cross President & Tehsildar Shri F.P. Shaikh. Branch Vice -Chairman Dr. D. Y. Yadav, Hon. Secretary Shri A.S.Kunkulol, managing committee members, Blood Centre managing body members and all staff were present.

Dr. D.Y.Yadav highlighted the special features of the diagnostic van, the various medical equipments installed including a generator which would be beneficial for covering patients in remote rural areas of Barshi. This is the first of a kind state of the art mobile unit in Barshi. Barshi Sub-District Branch has always been in the forefront in national disasters and they have been recognised by awards at state and national level.

World Blood Donor Day celebrated on 14th June 2023

On 14th June 2023 on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day IRCS Shriman Rambhai Shah Blood Centre, Barshi organised free blood testing (CBC, Haemoglobin etc) for blood donors and their family members. Total 256 blood tests were done. Felicitation of 84 single donor platelet (SDP) donors & 8 donors donated at the Blood Centre.

Blood Centre staff gave certificate to Ms.Snehal Chhajed who donated first time (SDP) blood.

World Red Cross Day celebrated on 8th May, 2023

On 8th May 2023 World Red Cross Day was celebrated by IRCS Barshi Sub-District Branch by felicitation of blood camp organizers, blood donors, press reporters& local artists along with one day First Aid & rescue training workshop was conducted
