The Maharashtra State Branch begin conducting the certified first aid training courses since November 2013 onwards for public / government and private institutions / companies, educational institutes and NGOs

Since its inception, employees of more than 300 different institutions have been empowered in first aid. The batch size is restricted to 30 participants per batch and the duration is for three days.

Beiersdorf India Pvt. Ltd under their CSR initiative supported First Aid training program for schools in Mahableshwar talukas with a sum of rupees four lakh. Mr. Jithin , Bel Air hospital administrator along with the Bel Air hospital nursing students spearheaded this project

  • Medical illness (Fever, High / low blood sugar, allergies, Asthma, Stroke)
  • Chest discomfort (Chest pain / Heart attack)

  • Casualty carrying methods
  • Stretcher preparation
  • How to prepare Oral rehydration solution (ORS)
  • How to prepare First aid box

Day 3

  • Introduction to Disasters (Disaster cycle)

Certification

The certificates are issued by National Headquarters (NHQ), Delhi, with validity of 3 years from the date of issue. No provisional certificate will be issued by the state / district / sub district branch.

Trainer’s Profile

The trainings are imparted by a registered medical professional with Disaster Management qualifications and has undergone trainings in first aid and Disaster Management at NHQ, Delhi.
