Summer Bonanza Camp was held from 17th to 20th April 2024 at Tatvaraj Farms, Tambadi, District Raigad Maharashtra. 59 students with 3 teachers from St. Xavier’s High School, Borivli, St. Xavier’s High School, Airoli and St. Xavier’s High School, Goregaon along with 1 youth volunteer and JRC Staff attended the camp. The students were briefed about the Red Cross Movement and Junior Red Cross activities by Mr. Bhavesh Sao, JRC Co-ordinator.
Various competitions and games were also conducted. Best Speaker Award, Best Dancer Award, Best Singer Award, Best Group Award etc were given.
All students and teachers were given a Participation Certificate. The camp was a huge success and school principals and parents appreciated the teachers and JRC staff zeal and hard work.
Junior Red Cross, Maharashtra organised Inter-School Rakhi Making Competition at The B.J.P.C Institution & Jr.College, Charni Road East on 22nd July 2023 for the Mumbai city schools. 162 students participated from 10 schools of Mumbai
This drive was conducted on 22nd June 2023 at Prerana NGO, Khetwadi. Prerana is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works in the red light districts Mumbai, to protect children vulnerable to commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking.
50 woman sex workers and girl students were briefed about the importance of menstrual hygiene by Youth Red Cross Volunteer Ms. Hetali Deorukhkar and Mrs. Joyce Pinto, Secretary. 100 sanitary pads were distributed to all the beneficiaries. Mr. Bhavesh Sao JRC Co-ordinator and Ms. Hetali played some interactive games with the school children. Later all the children were given stationery items and some was gifted to Prerana NGO. This activity was supported by The Boston Consulting Group India Pvt. Ltd.

Quiz Competition, Personality Pageant, Talent Hunt, Face Painting and games such as musical chairs, housie, treasure hunt etc. were also played. The campers visited Table Land, Bel-Air Nursing College and Hospital, Indian Red Cross Society Wai Hospital and Mapro Factory.
On the last day a valedictory function was held to felicitate the students and teachers. Awards like Best Camper Girl/Boy, Best Overall Camper, Best Participating Schools, Happy Camper Award, Best Dancer, Happy Helper, Most Punctual Boy/ Girl, Most Stylish Icon, Most Cute Camper, The Most Helpful, The Most Popular Boy/Girl, Master/Miss Personality Award, Best Group Award etc were given.
All students and teachers were given a Participation Certificate. The camp was super successful and school principals and parents appreciated the teachers and JRC staff zeal and hard work.
