19th June 2015
Due to heavy rains which lashed Mumbai on Friday 19th June 2015, Mumbai came to a halt & many passengers were stranded at the CST Railway Station. A large quantity of drinking water which had been received for Nepal earthquake but which could not be sent due to transportation problems, with the donor’s consent, was loaded in the car & by 10 p.m. they were at CST along with Mr. Kiran Mulgaonkar. A desk was set up by the CST officials & through a disciplined queue each passenger was given a one litre water bottle. Nearly 800 bottles were distributed. The Railway Authorities & Mr. Rajendra Lokhande – Disaster Management Unit BMC who was present, were highly appreciative of our efficiency & help as were the stranded passengers. The distribution was over in just half an hour!
